Queer Movie Podcast joins Multitude

An illustrated popcorn bucket sits on a bright blue background. The bucket has six stripes that match the Pride flag colors, and the title "The Queer Movie Podcast" sits on top of the stripes.

Who’s that new Multitude show? It’s the Queer Movie Podcast!

Our good and extremely talented friends Rowan Ellis and Jazza John are reviving the Queer Movie Podcast, their podcast about the pantheon of LGBTQ+ movies and the folks who love to watch said movies, on Multitude.

Join them as they research and rate their way through the queer film canon, one genre at a time. From rom-coms to slashers, contemporary arthouse cinema to black & white classics, Queer Movie Podcast is a celebration of all things gaaaaay on the silver screen.

The first new episode drops November 25th! Americans: if you need to escape your family to listen to queer cinema conversation, we got you. Brits and everyone else: America is doing stuff that day, so listen to this show instead!

Every new show that joins the collective is a new beacon of community, a different color that joins the lighthouses that are our podcasts. Now folks looking for a Multitude-version of a movie podcast have one to listen to! And we could not be more excited about the show.

New episodes every other Thursday. Search for 'Queer Movie Podcast' in your app of choice, or click one of the links below! (And don't worry if you don't yet see Jessica E. Boyd's beautiful artwork in your app—it'll be updated soon 🌈)

We’re also honored to share that Multitude is the Consulting Producer on a new podcast called Wisdom Continuum, which celebrates Native knowledge for a thoughtful, healthier, and more just future. It is hosted by Leah Lemm, a storyteller, radio maker, and Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe citizen, alongside Daniel Lemm, a Lower Sioux Community member and finance pro who is vocal about social impact investing. The first two episodes of Wisdom Continuum are out now, so go subscribe in any podcast player or on the show’s website. Thank you, Leah and Daniel, for trusting us to help you bring the show to life!

Finally, we welcome Roux Bedrosian as Multitude’s new Community Manager. Roux is a New Jersey based vocalist, musician, writer, and pop-culture enthusiast. When they aren’t fostering the vibrant Multitude community, you may find them moderating exciting virtual events on behalf of renowned wanderlust organization, Atlas Obscura. Over the course of their career, they’ve had the opportunity to lend their voice to many unique projects, including collaborations with the creative geniuses at The Game Theorists and ShoddyCast. By visiting rouxbedrosian.com, you’ll get a taste of all there is to Roux. You can also check out their acoustic duo, ROUVAN, on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Bandcamp.

Many thanks to Julia Schifini, who served as our Community Manager for two years alongside hosting Spirits and Join the Party. In addition to these hosting duties and editing Join the Party’s Afterparty episodes, Julia will now be an Editor at Multitude working on Queer Movie Podcast!

Please join us in welcoming and congratulating all of our new colleagues!
