Do you remember on Tumblr when you could ask a question about how the world works into the void and ScienceTumblr would come back and tell you exactly what you need to know? We feel like we asked the void if there was an open-armed and accessible science show that also scratched our nerdy brains, and EXOLORE burst in from the void.
EXOLORE, the facts-based worldbuilding podcast by Moiya McTier, is officially joining Multitude! We are so happy to have this show that blends the breakdown of fictional worlds with insightful and accessible science.
And Moiya is the perfect host for this show. She is an astrophysicist and folklorist, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in astronomy at Columbia University. She is constantly finding the best way to talk about science: explaining science and equity & inclusion on podcasts and TV shows, designing an exhibit for the New York Hall of Science, and writing her sci-fi novel Lying Hordes. Though that pales in comparison to the cuteness of her cat Kosmo.
Listen to the back catalog of EXOLORE -- The World of Freedom and The World of Blind Nomads episodes are particularly great -- and subscribe for new episodes airing every other Thursday in your podcast app. Also, check out Moiya on Spirits hypothesizing if the worlds in Norse mythology could be the planets in our solar system.
You can find EXOLORE on Twitter @ExolorePod and Moiya at @GoAstroMo, check out the website at exolorepod.com, and support the show on Patreon at patreon.com/goastromo!
