Classes for Podcasters

Looking to build your audio skills that are focused on the podcasting industry? Been podcasting for a few years and want to get your show over the hump? Why is my microphone making that sound? We’re here to help!

The Multitude Extension School for Folks Who Want to Podcast More and Better (MESFWTPMAB for short) is a collection of affordable classes taught by the podcast experts at Multitude that provide skills and guidance to level up your knowledge.

People may say that podcasting is easy, but no one describes how exactly to get one going, how to grow, and how to avoid the complicated pitfalls that might stall the project. Our targeted classes will give you specific knowledge for what feels like unanswerable questions.

You’ll learn from live instruction, hands-on homework, and lots of valuable feedback from your instructor and classmates in our MESFWTPMAB online classroom! And Eric was an English teacher, so he has a whole degree in PRAXIS and PEDAGOGY.

Seminar: build your podcast’s patreon from start to finish

All podcasts should have a Patreon! Letting your audience support you directly is a great way to make money, build community, and level up your podcast. In this two-hour seminar, you'll learn everything you need to know to design (or redesign) a membership program for your podcast. We'll cover benefits, pricing, creating efficient workflows, marketing, and troubleshooting common issues. Mixing instruction, brainstorming, and group feedback, this seminar is both interactive and informative. Walk away with a fully drafted plan for launching, promoting, and growing your podcast's Patreon!

This seminar is for:

  • People with an existing podcast but no Patreon yet

  • People with a podcast and Patreon page who want to redesign or refresh their page

  • People who are working on a new podcast. As long as you have a solid concept, you will benefit from this seminar!

Date & Time: Saturday April 22 from 1-3pm ET / 10am-12pm PT.

Seminar: Leveling up your remote recording setup

Podcasts are about building and showing closeness with conversation, and the lag of video call software just messes that up. However, there are plenty of strategies before, during, and after recording to make it sound like you two are in the same room.

You’ll leave with knowledge on soundproofing techniques, gear selection, editing techniques, and even a little bit of communication theory, all to connect your co-hosts and your audiences as closely as possible.

This seminar is for:

  • The person who already has a foundation in audio recording and is looking to advance in the process

  • The established producer who wants to level up their technical skills.

Date & Time: Friday April 28 from 7-9pm ET / 4-6pm PT.

Class: podcast editing for non-engineers

How do you go from raw audio to file final? It’s more than just cutting um’s and uh’s. This four-week course will teach you the basics of audio editing, from the technical to the creative. No matter what software you’re using, you’ll walk away with a toolbox of editing skills, resources for continued learning, and an understanding of why you’re doing what you’re doing.

This class is for:

  • A person who already has a foundation in audio recording and is looking to advance in the process

  • An established producer who wants to level up their technical skills

Dates & Times: Wednesdays (April 12, 19, 26, and May 3) at 7:30pm ET / 4:30pm PT. Each session will be two hours long.
